Cowboys vs. Ravens recap: Social media reaction to another head-scratching loss

After the brutal loss last week against the New Orleans Saints, the Dallas Cowboys came back to AT&T stadium looking to reclaim their pride and prove to fans not all is lost. What ensued was almost a replica of last week’s game as the Baltimore Ravens took an early lead and held a huge advantage at half time. The Cowboys came back late to make it a game but still fell short. Let’s see the view from social media.

The defense couldn’t stop anything and frustrations grew.

The Cowboys offense struggled and looked to Brandon Aubrey to keep the score up.

The offensive line and tight ends couldn’t stop the pre-snap penalties.

The running game continued to underperform.

Dalvin Cook has to play next week. And I mean it this time

The Cowboys finally score in the fourth quarter.

Then a momentum shift happened.

Cowboys with a touchdown to cut it to 28-12. They missed the 2-point try. And with the change in kickoff rules, referee Ron Torbert just announced the Cowboys will try an on-side kick. There are no more surprise on-side tries.

The first successfully converted onside kick of the new era (which involves declaring it) was executed by the Dallas Cowboys.

Watch out. Here they come.

The Cowboys score to reduce the deficit. Jalen Tolbert snags the ball in the endzone.

THE COWBOYS SCORE AGAIN!

The Ravens took to the field looking the end the game. The Cowboys defense couldn’t hold it back.

In the end it wasn’t enough. The Cowboys take the loss

That CeeDee Lamb fumble in the red zone is looming LARGE here. Also the decision to punt in the third quarter instead of trot Brandon Aubrey out for a 65-yarder.

Dak’s good enough to keep this team competitive in most games, which is why I picked them to make the playoffs. But a lot of pieces are going to need to grow a lot in a short amount of time.
