Jwaneng Galaxy head coach Morena Ramoreboli reserved special praise for two Orlando Pirates players following the two teams’ CAF Champions League second preliminary round meeting on Saturday.

Galaxy crashed out of the inter-club continental competition after suffering a 3-0 aggregate loss to their South African counterparts across the two legs.

After Pirates’ 2-0 win in the first leg played in Botswana, an added time goal by Monnapule Saleng settled the tie in the second leg at Orlando Stadium.

The match also marked a fifth clean sheet in eight matches for the Buccaneers this season.

Gracious in defeat, Ramoreboli was not above acknowledging his opposition’s solidity at the back, under the stewardship of Olisa Ndah and Thabiso Sesane.

“I think that central pairing of Sesane and Ndah, I think, for me is doing well for the team and they give a very good balance,” Ramoreboli said in the post-match press conference.

“They know when to take risks and when to play the ball away. So, it takes a special talent to identify certain moments in a game and I think that [is] one part that I saw in the game,” he added.
