Dolphins QB Skylar Thompson considered day to day with rib injury Sep 24, 2024

“I think we have an important 48 hours to see where [Thompson’s] at,” McDaniel said. “We’ll just have to take it a day at a time. There’s a lot on the table.”

Thompson struggled in nearly three quarters of action against a dominant defensive effort from the Seahawks before exiting. He completed 13 of 19 passes for just 107 yards and failed to lead the Dolphins on a drive longer than five plays. Boyle was 7-of-13 passing for 79 yards in relief.

If Boyle or Huntley start on Monday, it will mark the Dolphins’ third starting quarterback in four games this season.

Tua Tagovailoa is currently on injured reserve and out a minimum of three more games after he suffered a concussion in Miami’s Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 12.

McDaniel told reporters on Tuesday that Tagovailoa will meet with outside neurologists this week.
