Two NFC teams named potential suitors for Denver Broncos QB Zach Wilson
The Denver Broncos currently have three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster and as we discussed during the preseason, that was a good move for multiple reasons. One of those reasons is the record number of backups quarterbacks made starts last season and through three weeks this season, it looks like that could happen again.Â
The Broncos have Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson backing up Bo Nix and the former could get looks from teams around the league before this year’s trade deadline which falls on Tuesday, November 5. Between now and then, this could become a hot topic for the Broncos.Â
Teams such as the Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers have already seen their starters go down this season but teams could also be looking for a bridge quarterback for the future as well.Â
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report names the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams, who could approach the Broncos for Wilson’s services.Â
In New York, the team could definitely be transitioning away from Daniel Jones in 2025. If they have a high first-round pick, someone like Carson Beck of Georgia or Sheduer Sanders of Colorado could be an option. Wilson could be a strong choice to bridge the gap until that rookie is ready to go.Â
The Giants also have another former Broncos quarterback, Drew Lock, on the roster.Â

Broncos have many options with Zach WilsonAs nice as it was to see Wilson play well in the preseason, Nix is the future of the Broncos at quarterback. The team has had Wilson as a gameday inactive in each of the first three weeks of this season, and teams around the league will note that.Â
That will make him a target for a potential trade and if the Broncos are offered decent compensation, they will have to consider it. Sean Payton is a big fan of Wilson, but how does his future look in Denver?Â
It seems it might be best for the team — and the player — to send him to the highest bidder and let him continue his career as a potential starter, even if it’s just in a temporary role.Â
