NFL Draft: Dynasty QB Arch Manning’s Raiders Hype Shattered as Insider Reveals Major Concern

Texas ain’t only famous for BBQ and ribs, folks. It is also the house of one of the strongest current CFB rosters. The Longhorns are having a wild ride this year and behind much of the success was their QB Quinn Ewers. However, as every dream ends, Ewers has been marked “questionable” because of the injuries he sustained. So, who’s leading the team now? You might ask. Well, coming from the Manning family, a freshman who has been stirring up quite the buzz; Arch Manning.

After Ewers went down against the Roadrunners in the 2nd quarter, Manning was tasked with heading the team. Honestly, HC Steve Sarkisian probably didn’t think that Arch Manning would end up doing such a terrific job. With 4 touchdowns and 9-12 pass completions, Manning showed nothing but pure domination. So, naturally, the hype around him being the perfect QB for the Raiders is the top news right now. But on ESPN’s Kickoff, the hosts bring a harsh reality check. “So Arch Manning is, yeah, he’s got to come out next year. So the Raiders have to tank next year, which they probably don’t have to try,” the hosts noted.

As much as we love the idea of Manning being the next big QB for the Raiders, this guy is only 19. He ain’t even eligible for the draft right now. If Raiders HC Antonio Pierce wants some of that Manning energy on his team, then he has to start prepping up a roster around this guy for the 2026 NFL draft. The good thing right now is that Steve Sarkisian would have Arch for one more year.

Arch Manning has proven that he is one of the most important assets Sarkisian has on the roster. While Ewers and his injury came as a major shock for the Longhorns fans, Manning has managed to take all the burden on his shoulders and carry forward the same pace and hype that Quinn Ewers had created. After the UTSA game, Arch Manning started for the La-Monroe game and this dude still managed to rock.

Grabbing 2 touchdowns and 2 amazing interceptions, Manning was a sight to behold on the turf. As Caroline Fenton had pointed out back on September 17th, “Even without Quinn Ewers, Texas can still win a national championship.” To think that this dude had barely played any college football but still managed to handle the pressure with ease and lead the Longhorns to 2 back-to-back wins is quite amazing. However, we still cannot forget about our mullet star. What fate awaits Quinn Ewers?

This happened when he tried to connect a pass with TE Gunnar Helm during the 2nd quarter of the game. However, as the Longhorns prep for their game against MS Bulldogs, the question that arises is will Arch Manning be the starting QB or is Ewers coming back?

Have an interesting take?Ahead of the Week 5 game, Sarkisian pointed out that after much rehab and practice, Ewers’ current condition has “improved”. However, on the Texas Longhorns injury report, Ewers is still listed as “questionable”. With Manning leading the team during Week 3-4, the Longhorns have managed to grab the No.1 rank in the SEC.

So the pressure now falls on Sarkisian’s shoulder to select the perfect QB. Manning will get the job done and we all know it. If Ewers comes back, then, again, it’s smooth sailing. However, there could be one surprise pick as well. Trey Owns is the 3rd string QB for Texas and there’s a high chance he could be starting against the Bulldogs as well. For now, we just gotta wait and watch.
