Manchester United vs Tottenham predictionsNothing ever seems to change for Erik ten Hag and Manchester United.Â
Just when you feel they are turning the corner, along comes another set back.Â
When Diogo Dalot gave away a daft penalty against Southampton in Gameweek 4 of the Premier League, it looked bleak for the Red Devils.
But their luck changed. André Onana saved the spot kick, and United went on to win the match 3-0.Â
United then followed that up with a 7-0 demolition of Barnsley in the EFL Cup, and suddenly everything looked rosy again.
A 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace followed last Saturday. United could have been out of sight at half-time. And by the same yardstick, they could easily have lost in the second half.
Overall, a 0-0 draw away to Palace isn’t the worst result. It’s certainly a lot better than the 4-0 thrashing United got their last season.
But to then follow that up with a drab, uninspiring 1-1 draw at home to Twente in the Europa League was poor.Â
It’s groundhog day yet again.Â
How many times have United fans been built up, only to be knocked down again?Â
Especially under this manager. Â
Spurs will only add to the chaos at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Londoners sit 10th in the Premier League, one place above Manchester United on goal difference.Â
Both teams have seven points from five games. The big difference is in the goals scored column. Spurs have scored nine, United, just five. Both have conceded five in the Premier League.Â
Rumblings of discontent started for Spurs after their 1-0 North London derby defeat to Arsenal a couple of weeks ago. In that match, Spurs had 64% of the possession, and 15 shots compared to the Gunners’ five.
Despite this, Ange Postecoglou’s team never looked like winning. Hence the discontent from the stands.
In the Premier League, Spurs bounced back with a 3-1 win over Brentford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday. They had to go a goal behind in the match before they woke up.
Bizarrely, Brentford had the better of the possession (52%). The difference this time was Spurs were more clinical in front of goal.Â
On Thursday it was another crazy night in north London. This time against Qarabag of Azerbaijan in the Europa League.Â
Spurs defender Radu Dragusin set a new record by becoming the first Spurs player to be sent off on his European debut for the club.Â
Despite the 7th minute setback, Spurs went on to complete a 3-0 win. It has to be said they were greatly aided by some poor finishing from the Azerbaijans.Â
But after playing nearly the whole 90 minutes with just 10 men, Spurs will take plenty of positives from the win.
Throw their smash and grab EFL Cup win at Coventry into the equation, and Spurs have now won three in a row.Â
Happy days. For now.

Draw and both teams to scoreThe Red Devils are capable of raising their game in fixtures against the top teams. City in last season’s FA Cup final springs to mind. But on the flip side, they were abysmal at home to Liverpool earlier this season.
Anyway, up until half-time at Selhurst Park last weekend, things had been going well again for United. But, since then, things have gotten worse again for Erik ten Hag and his team.

All of which means, United are probably due to up their game against Spurs.
But Spurs have only failed to score once this season, and we can see them finding the net against a United team that led a charmed life in the 2nd half against Palace and conceded against FC Twente in midweek.Â
Furthermore, there have been two scoring draws between the teams over the past two seasons.
âš½ Back the draw and both teams to score at 3/1 with Sky Bet âš½
Over 3.5 goalsUnited haven’t been prolific in front of goal this season.Â
Okay, they put three past Southampton and then pumped seven past Barnsley in the EFL Cup. But the opposition has to be taken into consideration.
Since then, they have scored once in 180 minutes against Palace and FC Twente.Â
But, United should have scored a couple in the first half against Palace, and they also had 19 efforts at goal (five on target) against the Dutch team in the Europa League. Â
The goals are going to come for the Red Devils.Â
Furthermore, Spurs have scored eight in their last three matches.Â
They only know one way to play. And Tottenham’s style will not only create chances for themselves, but also give United plenty of opportunities.
Brennan Johnson has scored three in three in all competitions, and Dominic Solanke opened his account against Brentford last Saturday.Â
Expect plenty of goals in this one.Â

60+ booking pointsManchester United should have had a man sent off against Palace last Saturday. Spurs had a man sent off against Qarabag on Thursday.Â
Expect this to be spicy, with plenty of needle from both sides.Â
Spurs had five players booked against Arsenal in the North London derby. So they are not shy at mixing it with the opposition.Â
There is always a strong chance Bruno Fernandes will get booked for chipping away at the referee. And throw in a Martinez special, and we are well on our way to the six yellows required. Â
