New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner posted a cryptic message on social media amid trade rumors surrounding Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.

The 24-year-old quote-tweeted a post about Adams’ recent trade request with an image of a tattoo showing a baby making a hushing motion. It’s unclear what he is saying with his message, but it will certainly give both Jets and Raiders fans something to talk about.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that Adams being traded isn’t “imminent,” though it does seem his time in Las Vegas could come to an end soon.

Before the six-time Pro Bowler requested a trade, the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Vincent Bonsignore reported that the Raiders were “growing open to the idea of trading” him and had already started reaching out to teams to gauge interest.

After Gardner’s tweet, perhaps he thinks the Jets will be on the list of potential suitors.

Adding a veteran receiver like Adams could be a smart move for New York after a 2-2 start that has seen its offense struggle. He might also be in favor of a trade to the Jets as it would reunite him with legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Adams has hinted that he would like to team up with the former Green Bay Packers star again at some point in his career. Per The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt, he talked about the idea of playing together again this summer.

“If I’m going to be reunited with anybody, it would be Aaron,” he said.

Adams had some of the best years of his career when he was catching passes from Rodgers. He had a career-high 18 touchdowns with the Packers in 2020 and a career-high 1,553 receiving yards in his final season with Green Bay in 2022.

Perhaps he could catch passes from Rodgers once again in the near future.
