Through the first four weeks of the 2024 season, the connection between New York Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Garrett Wilson has not taken off the way many had expected.

However, head coach Robert Saleh isn’t concerned about the early lack of chemistry between Rodgers and Wilson, telling reporters on Wednesday, “I’m still not worried about it. They’ll get on the same page.”

During training camp, Rodgers and Wilson put together an incredible highlight reel that had many believing they would be one of the most effective duos in the league.

Unfortunately, Wilson is off to a slow start with 20 catches for 191 yards and one touchdown, averaging 47.8 yards per game. The two of them struggled to connect down the stretch in New York’s disappointing 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos this past Sunday, with Rodgers looking visibly frustrated.

Wilson is one of the most promising young talents in the NFL, recording over 1,000 yards in his first two seasons in the league despite the Jets being mired by subpar quarterback play. With a future Hall of Famer like Rodgers under center, the 24-year-old should be on the cusp of a breakout performance.

It will take some time, but once Rodgers and Wilson start clicking, the Jets offense will benefit in a big way.
