Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 5: Hunter Henry, Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Dolphins

The New England Patriots have been tough to watch through four weeks, but their offensive drives have been the most painful to sit through on their way to a 1-3 record to start the 2024 season.

To this point, only two Patriots have stood out on that side of the ball, and it’s only been for a game or two – running back Rhamondre Stevenson and tight end Hunter Henry.

In Week 5, Fantasy Football owners shouldn’t be considering many players on New England’s roster for their lineups, but if there’s an injury or a bye week, they may have to. Should fantasy owners use either Stevenson or Henry in Week 5 as the Patriots host the Miami Dolphins? Let’s discuss.

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 5: Hunter HenryHenry was a monster in New England’s Week 2 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks, catching eight passes for a career-high 109 yards, but outside of that, he’s been nearly non-existent in the offense (catching six passes for 39 yards).

Considering the state of this offense, and the fact that tight ends have averaged just 7.5 points per game against the Dolphins (one of the lowest in the league), the chances of Henry going off again are slim.

Verdict: Sit ‘Em

Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 5: Rhamondre StevensonStevenson looked like he was on pace for an incredible season after the first two weeks when he ran for 201 yards and two touchdowns, but he’s dropped off a bit since then, rushing for just 66 yards on 3.5 yards per attempt.

On top of that, he’s been unable to hold on to the ball, fumbling four times in four games, which has led Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo to start Antonio Gibson over Stevenson against the Dolphins.

With a decreased workload, Stevenson should probably stay out of lineups this week.

Verdict: Sit ‘Em
