Medeama drop first points in draw against Heart of Lions
Medeama SC lost their 100 per cent Premier League record after being held to a pulsating 0-0 draw at home by Heart of Lions in an abÂsorbing match at the T&A Stadium on Saturday.
Nebojsa Kapor Kapor’s men were looking to maintain their perfect start to the season but were denied severally by an impressive Heart of Lions goalkeeper, LawÂrence Osei.
Osei stood between Medeama and a win as he pulled up top class saves to the admiration of the home fans.
The visitors put up a resilient fight to pick a point in the mining town to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Medeama substitute, Prince Owusu, hit the post with a thunÂderous strike as Diawise Taylor missed a sitter with only goalkeepÂer Lawrence Osei to beat.
Winger Osah Bernandinho Tetteh and defender KamaradiÂni Mamudu also came close but their efforts failed to produce the needed goals.
Hearts of Lions forwards, Kwadwo Obeng Junior and AbedÂnego Tetteh, were also an attacking threat for the visitors as the two teams shared the points.
