Concerned Siblings Jessica & Nelly Korda Share Worrying Sebastian Korda Updates Weeks After U.S. Open Misery

Remember Sebastian Korda’s elbow troubles at the 2024 U.S. Open? Well, if you do not, here’s a bit of a nudge for you to recall. The American tennis star was seen struggling in his match against Tomas Machac. Although he did receive on-court treatment, it wasn’t enough to overturn the already losing match. Fast forward to the present, and the athlete has shared an update regarding his injury. And his sisters, Jessica and Nelly Korda, were spotted posting the same on their social media handles.

The Korda sisters shared a story on their Instagram handle as they took to re-post their brother’s Instagram update after his surgery. Yes, you read that right! The tennis star underwent a procedure to remedy his injured elbow. “I wanted to update you all,” wrote Nelly Korda’s brother. “I’ve been dealing with some elbow issues, and my team and I decided surgery was the best option.”

“Everything went great, and I can’t wait to be back on court soon,” added Korda as he expressed gratitude to his fans. “Thanks for all your support!” Well, it seems like the golfer’s brother was busy with his health issues and surgery after the match that took place on August 29. The recent post would have let to rest many of his fans’s worries, seeing as how he went close to almost two months without an update on the same.

The two sisters sure do share a lot of concern for their one and only brother, seeing as how they re-posted it on their handle before commenting under the same. The oldest sister of the bunch, Jessica Korda, wished her youngest sibling the best of recovery while expressing eagerness over his return to the court: “Comeback is always stronger than the setback.” His second sister and 2-time major champ, meanwhile, also took to convey her love for the little brother as she commented, “❤️.”

The golfer’s brother didn’t share when he would return after recovery, all the while inadvertently throwing uncertainty over his comeback. Quite worrisome! But that was to be expected, in all honesty, especially after witnessing the athlete’s performance at the 2024 U.S. Open during the match against Tomas Machac.

Unfortunately, he had already lost the first set 6-4, following which he was trailing 2-1 in the second. Then came the physio with a black sleeve and an ointment, the latter of which was sprayed on Korda’s arm. But that wasn’t enough as Nelly Korda’s brother went on to lose the second set.

Although there were signs of a remarkable comeback on the third set, the tennis star faltered soon after leading it 3-0 to suffer defeat to the Czech athlete, 6-4, marking an end to his U.S. Open run. Then again, he was someone who was riddled with a wrist injury in the first place dating back to 2023. Couple that with the recent one, and the result seems obvious, doesn’t it?

Regardless, with the two golfers, including Jessica and Nelly Korda, sharing it on their handles, their little brother will also have their sisters’ fans from golf praying for him now. All he needs to do now is focus on his recovery!
