Taylor Swift has ditched her mysterious plaid motif amid those Reputation (TV) rumors.

On October 11, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent their weekend off in New York City with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds—and let’s just say there was a lot to discuss, sartorially. The 34-year-old pop star channeled her Reputation era at The Corner Store in Soho, pairing a lace Gucci logo corset with a leather skirt and Louis Vuitton platform booties, topping off the vampy look with a more demure Ralph Lauren coat in camel.

As for accessories, Swift subtly matched Kelce’s Jacquemus horse-print camp shirt with a black Dior saddle bag, bringing the old Taylor back to the phone with a bright red lip and black cat-eye liner. The lip color does not, in fact, appear to be her current go-to NARS shade, so you may want to check out some of her other favorites to find a match.

For their part, Lively and Reynolds both channeled Midnights—Lively dressed in an ornate maroon knit maxi dress and matching tights while Reynolds stepped out in a white button down with a navy collar with laser-cut stars.

But where have we seen Taylor Swift’s Gucci corset before? On her 2016 squad member Dakota Johnson, of course! Johnson’s affection for Gucci corsets and lingerie is well documented, and she wore this particular $1,650 piece on a red carpet in 2021, pairing the lace bustier with leather pants and classic pumps.

Though both Swift and Johnson’s outfits are giving Reputation (or maybe “Bad Blood”), Johnson’s favorite Taylor Swift album is Lover. “I really like Lover. It’s such a great album, but I think all of her albums are really great,” Johnson told Bustle this past March. “I just find her existence really radical in the sense of what it literally means. Not rad or cool, but radical, and I’m totally into it.”

While the outfit reference was likely a coincidence, the respect is surely mutual.
