Man City star ‘considering future at club’

John Stones’ late goal earned Manchester City all three points against Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

The game looked to be heading for a draw until the fifth minute of added time, when centre-back Stones scored what proved to be the winner, despite his strike initially being ruled out before a VAR intervention.

The win temporarily moved the Citizens top of the table, before Liverpool returned to the summit with a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Anfield.

In the wake of City’s dramatic victory, it has emerged that one of their most experienced players is considering a future away from the club.

As per GiveMeSport, full-back Kyle Walker is considering his future at The Etihad after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola.

The 34-year-old has played a crucial role in much of City’s success over the past decade, but he has started just three of their seven league games so far this term.

Walker played a total of just two minutes across City’s opening three league games, and the report claims that the England international will consider pushing for a move away from Manchester if his situation doesn’t improve.

Since joining City from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2017, the right-back has played more than 300 times for the Citizens.

He has lifted no fewer than 17 trophies during his time with City, including the Champions League and six Premier League titles.

Walker’s contract with the club is set to run until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, but the report suggests that he could seek a move away from The Etihad prior to that date if his playing time remains inconsistent.
