Four Division One Entries Go to Players Across the Country
On Monday, The Lott uncovered details regarding the fortunate winner who won one out of a total of four division one winning entries from TattsLotto. The identity of the lucky winner remains a mystery but what’s known to this moment is that he is a retiree from Bicheno, who bought his winning ticket from Bicheno Newsagency located at 41 Foster Street in Bicheno.

The man from Bicheno was the sole winner of a division one prize from Tasmania, three other prizes went to lucky players in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. As a division one winning, each of the tickets scored a hefty AU$1,264,652.43 ($844,601) payday.

The fortunate man won from TattsLotto’s draw 4513 on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The winning numbers from the draw were 26, 15, 33, 43, 22 and 5, while supplementary numbers were 4 and 11.

The latest win helped further grow the total sum of division one prizes won in Tasmania. Since the start of the year, a total of AU$12.3 million ($8.2 million) within nine division one winning entries have been won.

The Lottery Winner Plans to Treat Himself a New Lawn Mower, Help His Children
Speaking to lottery officials, the lucky player confirmed that he has been playing the lottery for four decades. Despite the lengthy period, he admitted that he played in sporadic bursts, rather than participating every week. The retiree acknowledged that he played “very lazily,” but was extremely happy for his luck.

“I feel very lucky. I’ll be helping my children with the prize, but also treating myself to a new lawn mower,“

explained the lucky TattsLotto winner
When asked by lottery officials what he plans with the unexpected windfall, the Bicheno man admitted that he will buy a new lawn mower. Jokingly, the man added: “I could probably buy 1,000 lawn mowers! Thank you very, very much.” Besides a new lawn mower, the man said that he plans to help his children.

Not unexpectedly, the win was a total surprise for the retiree. The man didn’t register the ticket to a player card, which is why The Lott had to wait until the lucky winner checked his ticket. If the ticket was registered to a player card, the lottery would’ve notified the winner.
