After leading the Los Angeles Dodgers past the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series, shortstop Tommy Edman is taking home some hardware.

Edman was named NLCS MVP following the Dodgers’ 10-5 win in Sunday’s Game 6 to advance to the World Series.

Edman had 11 hits and 11 RBI in the NLCS, the latter of which tied Corey Seager’s franchise record for most RBI in a playoff series. He continued his hot streak on Sunday by going 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, four RBI and two runs.

Noah Camras @noahcamrasTommy Edman is now hitting .366 (15-for-41) this postseason.

He’s hitting .458 (11-for-24) in the NLCS with 11 RBIs.

Andrew Friedman dominated the trade deadline getting Edman and Michael Kopech for essentially Miguel Vargas.

The Dodgers acquired Edman at the 2024 trade deadline. He originally played center field, but he was moved to shortstop after Miguel Rojas went down with an injury.

The move didn’t affect Edman’s performance, as he caught fire in the postseason to help lead Los Angeles back to the World Series for the first time since its last title win in 2020.

The Dodgers will face the New York Yankees in a star-studded World Series matchup that includes some of the biggest stars in MLB like Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto.

Edman proved that he can be just as big of a difference-maker as any of those players as the Dodgers chase their eighth World Series title in franchise history.
