The 2024-25 NBA season is set to kick off with a flourish as some of the sport’s biggest stars take center stage Tuesday night.

Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Anthony Edwards will all bask in the limelight for their respective teams during Tuesday’s night’s doubleheader.

All six can fancy themselves supernovas in the NBA galaxy. And yet, it can be argued that a rookie second rounder has drummed up more intrigue than all of them entering the season.

Bronny James is slated to make his regular-season debut alongside father LeBron on Tuesday. The 20-year old Bronny comes into the contest — a matchup with Edwards, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert and Minnesota — on a high, having tallied 17 points, four rebounds, three steals and one block in 35 minutes in his final preseason appearance Oct. 18.

Bronny isn’t expected to get much burn. He’s widely-regarded as a fringe NBA player at present. But any opportunity he does receive will be noteworthy given the name on the back of his jersey.
