Former Presidents Back Harris in Nevada as Election Looms

The battle for Nevada continues to get more heated by the day as politicians vie to secure important Vegas votes. With the battle between Vice President Kamala Harris and ex-POTUS Donald Trump raging on, other former presidents have also decided to chime in.

Former Democratic Presidents Back Harris
Former President Barack Obama recently appeared in North Vegas, reiterating his support for Democratic candidate Harris. In the meantime, the 44th president described the current Republican candidate as a “78-year-old billionaire that has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down the golden escalator nine years ago.”

Obama said that Trump, according to him, is incapable of thinking about anybody but himself. Conversely, Obama was convinced that Harris would be a good choice because of her preparedness. He told the crowd that she doesn’t have the concepts of a plan but an actual plan to make Americans’ lives better.

Obama pointed out that Harris had an actual plan to make living in the USA cheaper and was prepared to go after big corporations that were “jacking up prices.” He cited her experience as attorney general of California when she went after big banks and for-profit colleges.

Obama also noted that the Democratic candidate is going to build 3 million new homes and provide first-time homebuyers with important backing.

The 44th president concluded that he believes the 2024 election will be about more than policies. According to him, it will be mostly about “values and character.”

In the meantime, former President Bill Clinton will speak in favor of Harris on Tuesday.

The Race Heats Up
Trump, on the other hand, is not standing still and is also busy campaigning. The former president is set to appear at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday, while the vice president nominee, Senator JD Vance, will appear in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

In any case, the two candidates have been trying hard to secure backing from the Nevada voters. A recent poll, however, suggested that Trump has a lead in the Silver State. According to data from RealClearPolitics’ polling tracker, Trump leads with 48.2% against Harris’ 48%. While this may not seem like a huge difference, every vote may turn out to be important in what many expect to be a close presidential race.

In other news, Harris just appealed to sports bettors and gamers, hoping to bolster her popularity among male voters.
