Jack Catterall’s manager left red-faced as Regis Prograis plays embarrassing voice note at press conference
Regis Prograis caused a stir at the final press conference ahead of his upcoming clash with Jack Catterall.
The pair are set to square off at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester on Saturday.

Prograis played an old voice note in which Catterall’s manager told Prograis he would “flatten” Catterall before he started working with his clientCredit: MatchroomTwo days before fight night they met at the scene of this weekend’s super-lightweight scrap to talk up the blockbuster showdown.
It was a fairly routine press conference up until the end when Prograis interrupted Eddie Hearn to play an old voice note from Catterall’s manager Sam Jones.
As Hearn attempted to close the press conference, Prograis said: “Wait, wait, wait. I’ve got something else to say.

“A long time ago, right? And I’ve got proof right now if you want to hear it. I’ve got proof. You said flatten him, right?”
Jones then took to the mic: “Right hand to God, I never said that.
“Listen, you’ve been hit in the head too many times by Devin Haney my friend.”
Prograis then proceeded to play the voice note through his mic in which Jones could be heard saying: “I like Jack, I know him very well but I do think you flatten him, do you understand what I mean?
“Because you are a different guy to Josh Taylor.”
Jones only recently started managing Catterall and claims the voice note is from before he started representing him.

“I’ve only known him two years. Regis, I’ve got some messages from you and they will be posted later.”

Prograis has certainly upped the heat ahead of fight night but the stakes remain the same.
Whoever emerges victorious almost certainly propels themselves into a world title shot.
Catterall enters the contest fresh off a career-best win against former undisputed king Josh Taylor and is ranked highly by all four major sanctioning bodies.
Meanwhile, Prograis, a former WBC super-lightweight champion, could take his place back at the top table with a win.
