Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, As Told By Steam Reviews

Capcom has been knocking it out of the park with its horror remakes in recent years (perhaps with the exception of Resident Evil 3, though I still enjoyed that one immensely). If you look at titles such as Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2, they clearly know how to modernize famous franchises for today’s audiences, while remaining mainly faithful to the source material. They’re playing on our nostalgia, and everyone wins. Add to that, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

Suggested ReadingAfter spending nearly one hundred hours playing as Frank West this go-around, I don’t have many bad things to say. But you’re not here for my personal opinions, you’re here to check out the Steam user reviews—the best of the best and worst of the worst, with perhaps a few meme reviews thrown in for good measure, right?

Things definitely skew well for the game. At the time of writing, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is sitting on a solid “Very Positive” rating, with 83 percent of reviews in favor.

Most positive reviews left by satisfied users fall into two categories: They’ve either played for a handful of hours, usually under ten, and are satisfied with the general experience. Or you have those who spend tens or hundreds of hours scouring every inch of the Willamette Mall, and they still love the game. Most point toward the quality-of-life features like the ability to skip time between cases, and the overall polish of the remaster. It’s a stable, smooth game that’s downright fun to play.

However, even the most user-friendly gaming experience will attract negative reviews. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster isn’t perfect, and the bad reviews point out its flaws in spades. They indicate poor voice acting, complaints of censorship, missing content, and stuttering issues that mar the overall experience.

If you’re still on the fence about this wacky survival horror experience set in the confines of a Midwest mall, here is Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, as told by Steam reviews!
