Joe Rogan criticizes Dana White, saying the UFC President needs to become a ‘purist’ over his treatment of a top contender

Joe Rogan has taken aim at Dana White, slating the UFC CEO’s treatment of light heavyweight contender Magomed Ankalaev.

The popular commentator is convinced the Russian fighter deserves more credit than he’s getting.

On this occasion, Rogan doesn’t believe Magomed Ankalaev has received a fair shake. The formidable grappler has been unbeaten since 2018, and came desperately close to claiming the 205-pound throne for his effort against Jan Blachowicz, receiving a draw in a fight many thought he won.

However, White branded the contest, ‘boring, which aggravated Rogan, who is convinced the Dagestani did enough to secure the victory.

During the UFC 309 JRE Fight Companion, the New Jersey native said: “I’m a big fan of Ankalaev. I think he got a real raw deal [and] I think the Jan Blachowicz fight is not his fault [because] it was a great fight, and I thought he did what he had to do to win.”

He added that his pal should respect of all forms of combat, claiming: “I think you’ve got to be a purist. I think the best guys have to fight the best, period, and that’s [Ankalaev] one of the f***ing best guys for sure.”

Luckily, at the UFC 308 post-fight press conference, White revealed that he’s giving Magomedov the shot at Alex Pereira he deserves.

With the help of a translator, he fired a brutal jibe in his rival’s direction.
