‘Apology accepted’… Dana White reacts to ludicrous moment from UFC 308 press conference
Dana White has accepted the apology of one media member who made a bizarre outburst at a press conference on Saturday night.
The UFC CEO was speaking to the press following Ilia Topuria’s vicious stoppage of Max Holloway for the featherweight title at UFC 308. And one reporter seemed very keen to apologise for previous comments he had made about White’s side project; Power Slap.
White actually received quite a bit of praise from a bizarre pool of local media members during a press conference where he was also pressed on his feud with Francis Ngannou among other issues. But he seems to have enjoyed about it, joking on social media after the fact.

First of all, I owe you an apology. I was one of the people that hated Power Slap. I did a commentary in Arabic for them last time. And my God, you are 100% right. We are all wrong. I respect you so much for it. pic.twitter.com/KccgNBkinx

On the night, White thanked him for his comment and noted that the controversial sport “is a different experience live”. The reporter went on to ask for more Power Slap events in the Middle East including Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia.
Now, White has taken to his Instagram stories where he shared a clip of the interaction. He seems to be taking it in good nature, replying “Apology accepted” to a post about it.

Another reporter didn’t even attempt to mask his intentions with some questions, instead opting to just thank the UFC boss for his contributions to MMA.
“I don’t have a question, but I just really want to appreciate what you did to the sport,” they told White. “And I want you to know that even after 100 or 150 years your name will always be there.

The outlandish moment came in for a lot of criticism online, with many media members and fans alike criticising the comical nature of MMA media. White himself seemed confused in the moment, but thanked the reporter for his comments.
