Lil Durk In Federal Custody After Alleged Revenge Plot Is Exposed | TSR Investigates

Lil Durk, whose government name is Durk Devontay Banks, has been in police custody for almost the past week. The FBI reportedly believes Durk allegedly orchestrated a murder-for-hire plot along with five other associates. The alleged target? Quando Rondo.

But how did Durk end up on the FBI’s radar for the alleged crime? And what may happen next?

More Details On The Alleged Murder-For-Hire Plot Connected To Lil Durk Being In Custody
According to Carter, the FBI believes the scheme sparked from the shooting death of Durk’s friend, King Von. Von was fatally shot by a friend of Quando Rondo’s outside of a nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2020. Subsequently, Durk allegedly offered a bounty to anyone willing to murder Rondo.

Two years later, in August 2022, a shooting in Los Angeles, California, left Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab, deceased. Since then, the FBI has since determined that the suspects connected to the incident were affiliates of Durk’s ‘OTF’ music group.

In conversation, defense attorney Kayla Bumpus broke down the FBI’s investigation into the events and subsequent case against Durk.

“The federal government is way different — the way they do their indictments, and the way they do their discovery, and their timelines are extremely more detailed, and they’re quick,” Bumpus said. “Once you go federal, they pretty much have their case
”

How Did The Alleged Murder-For-Hire Plot Come Together? And What May Happen Next?
According to Carter, the day before the fatal shooting of Lul Pab, Durk and his associates allegedly learned that Rondo and his crew were in Los Angeles. Durk’s associates allegedly flew to the area with plane tickets reportedly purchased with an OTF credit card.

Once there, the crew allegedly purchased ski masks, rented cars, and carried out the alleged scheme. Afterward, the men were paid an undisclosed amount.

Fast-forward to earlier this month, the feds arrested Durk’s associates before later learning the rapper had reportedly booked international flights outside of the country.
