Wednesday’s Saints vs. Panthers injury report

The 2-6 New Orleans Saints and 1-7 Carolina Panthers have wrapped up their first practice ahead of their Week one rematch. The Saints will look to put an end to their six game losing streak with a potential return of starting quarterback Derek Carr, who returned to practice on Wednesday. Running back Alvin Kamara remains limited with a hand/hip injury while second-year running back Kendre Miller was absent after he suffered a hamstring injury against the Los Angeles Chargers. Rookie wide receiver Bub Means, who has stepped up on the absence of Rashid Shaheed, has an ankle injury and is expected to miss time.

Panthers’ rookie running back Johnathan Brooks was a full participant on Wednesday and is preparing to make his NFL debut. Veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen wa limited as he deals with a hamstring injury.
