Michigan Set to Hijack Another LSU Commit in Package Deal With Bryce Underwood to Solve WR & QB Woes
Michigan football is, at least, going resilient even though they are not at their best. Not only did they pick up a high-flying victory over rival Michigan State last week despite a 4-3 start to the season, frequent switching of the quarterbacks, a lot of missed plays, and more, but the Wolverines are secretly turning their cards at the recruiting game as well. The 2025 dynasty is where Sherrone Moore has his eyes. The rumored push to flip LSU commit Bryce Underwood spoke loud of their desperation to squash off the blue of playoff elimination. But now another LSU weapon seems to join the force of a transitioning team in the heat of the personal attachment.
If Underwood sets foot into the Wolverines camp, it will be a double gain for the regents. Derek Meadows, a 2025 wide receiver, and a fellow LSU hard commit, is highly likely to follow in his footsteps. ââDerek Meadows is the receiver that is apparently attached to Bryce Underwood and he would only come to, from my understanding, he, itâs a package deal. Itâs one of those where if Underwood comes to Michigan, he wants to come to Michigan. If Underwood does not come to Michigan, the interest is not as high,â said TJ Ronin to John DâAdamo in the perceptive college football podcast.Â

Bryce Underwood hype continues to shape up the Michigan gossip. The 17-year-old has been firm in his commitment to LSU, but Moore isnât the guy to give up, and so are the in-state boosters. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy set the internet on fire a week back when he declared that he would keep his $3 Million on the bet to bring Underwood to Ann Arbor. James Yoder, on the top, set the bar higher, putting another 1 million on the table. Now, with the buy one, take one effortless narrative added on the page, the importance of convincing the 6 ft 4 to make a wise jump.
And what is the feasible formula for that? Well, the Michigan faithful played almost all the cliche appeal cards to take their dream QB on the board. Now, they are being more business-smart, offering Underwood a better NIL than LSU. Now, this is some serious allure right on the plate for the kid.
Moore left no stone unturned to give Brian Kelly a hard time competing with his 2025 dynasty design. Bryce Underwood laughed off the idea of the Wolverines buying him with a better offer as an Instagram comment depicted. But a neutral conclusion? The Michigan Wolverines really need him more than LSU in all aspects.
Michiganâs quarterback issues put Sherrone Moore into deep waterADVERTISEMENT

Moore has been constantly on the gunpoint for their persisting quarterback issues and their lackluster effort in the transfer portal during the off-season. Although the subject is still debatable whether or not Moore really did enough to push a QB into the portal, the tumultuous situation it led to, costing match after match, is undeniable.
Michigan has tried three quarterbacks under center in this highly underwhelming season: Davis Warren, Jack Tuttle, and Alex Orji. But neither of them can reliably give the team an overall performance.
But judging all the nitty gritty, Moore re-loaded senior Davis Warren at the start against Michigan State. The deliveries and the passing attacks were nothing worth praising, but at least they were decent, with no turnover. But then, it wasnât even close to the standard mark either.

The result is not commendable, but the efforts are. It was quite clear that Moore needed to make a QB change after Orji failed to make it work, and Moore did it. When Tuttle couldnât make a difference against Illinois, Moore reflected on the decision and inflicted another change. It was certainly not ideal to go for four quarterback changes in eight weeks, but at least, itâs showing the desperate attempts of a dedicated coach to get better. If Bryce Underwoodâs saga gets solved, Moore might find the answer before he looks out for a long.
