Millie Bobby Brown’s Husband Jake Bongiovi Reveals His Acting Skills in New Movie Trailer – E! Online

Jake Bongiovi is doing it his way. 

As it turns out, his wife Millie Bobby Brown—whom he married in a private ceremony in May, followed by a larger reception in Italy—is no longer the only actor in the family as Jake is flexing his acting muscles in the trailer for the upcoming movie Sweethearts.

The film, which hits Max Nov. 28, stars Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka and Nico Hiraga—best known for his roles in 2019’s Booksmart and the 2023 series The Power—as two best friends and college freshman attempting to navigate their romantic relationships back home. 

Jake costars as Kellan, one of their hometown buddies who has a hilarious moment in the trailer when he attempts to pronounce “Je t’aime” (French for “I love you”), but fails miserably. Elsewhere in the trailer, the 22-year-old can be seen shirtless as he and a group of guys attempt to light a turkey on fire.

And while Jake made his acting debut in the film Rockbottom earlier this year, Sweethearts was his “first time ever stepping onto set,” he told Flaunt Magazine in their September issue.

And despite having a famous father in singer Jon Bon Jovi, Jake told the outlet that he was putting in the work for a chance to break into the acting world.

“Right now, like every other actor, everyone is taking a billion auditions,” he explained, “hoping to crack the shell. No matter what level you’re on, everyone is walking up the hill.”

And should he succeed, Jake—who was attending Syracuse University before he decided to leave and focus on acting—shared that his dream role would be in a science fiction drama.

“That would be my crème-de-la-crème,” he said. “I just love those kinds of films where you’re looking 50 years into the future, which gives you creative input into world-building, but is grounded in the subject matter. That’s what makes a great sci-fi film.”
