Aston Villa eye Boca Juniors midfielder Kevin Zenon
Aston Villa are interested in signing Kevin Zenon from Boca Juniors in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that Villa could try to make a deal in January, with the midfielder himself open to leaving Argentina for England.
Villa, though, are not the only club who have been impressed with Zenon. The report in GiveMeSport has noted that Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur also have an eye on Zenon. The 23-year-old has made 13 starts and one substitute appearance in Copa de la Superliga so far this season, scoring two goals in the process. He has also played 12 times in Liga Professional and twice in the Copa Sudamericana.
Villa are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 18 points from nine matches. Unai Emery’s side are five points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City and are a point ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea.
