Fortnite Remix Tournaments – Best Events in C2 Revisit

A new Fortnite mini-season has begun. What are the Fortnite Remix tournaments we’re expecting over the next four weeks?

The new Fortnite mini-season is beginning, which means a whole new batch of tournaments. Just like Fortnite OG though, the events are going to work a bit differently this time. We’re not expecting an FNCS event. There are Fortnite Remix tournaments though.

Fortnite has a very wide competitive scene. There’s the core FNCS events, but other Fortnite Remix competitive events are held pretty much weekly. Even for a mini-season, that’s changing every week, we’re getting regular tournaments each week with their own twist.

What can you expect from Fortnite Remix tournaments? This is what the competitive calendar looks like and when you can get involved.

Fortnite Remix Tournaments Guide
Fortnite Remix is going to feature a huge spread of tournaments, with seven different event types to compete in. While the FNCS isn’t running, we are getting a combined prize pool of more than $1,000,000.

Since Chapter 2 was when Fortnite esports stepped up to the next level, it’s great to see it showing up in tournaments so much.

These are all of the event types and how they’ll work for Fortnite Remix tournaments:

Trios Cash Cups – Fortnite Remix Competitive

Traditional Cash Cups, but played in the Trios format. Compete in a single day session to try and earn your way up the leaderboard for a share of the prize. Running for both Zero and Builds modes, so you can play how you want.

The Trios events were featured quite a bit more in past seasons and they’ll be the format for the FNCS in the future again. These might be more competitive as Fortnite pros look to test out their new team compositions.

Solo Victory Cups – Fortnite Remix Esports
One of the most persistent Fortnite tournaments in recent seasons. A Cash Cup where only one thing counts, Victory Royales.

Fortnite Remix Tournaments are keeping this kind of unique format. It’s one that got particularly interesting for the OG tournaments, so we’ll see how it fares here.

Win a game, get cash. First, you’ll need to beat the first session and gain qualification. Then you’re free to compete in Round 2, where everyone desperately clings to life. Elims don’t matter in the second round, with the only cash prize going down to the last man standing.

Reload Duos Cash Cups

If you’re a bit more interested in the older form of Fortnite, Reload is getting quite a few major tournaments this season too. The Reload cups will be played in the other mode, with its added map.

In rules, it does work similarly to normal Fortnite Remix tournaments. You’re getting two sessions, with the leaderboard at the end deciding who walks away with cash.

Reload has had a ton of bugs at the launch of the season. Let’s hope it’s a bit more stable when the Fortnite Remix tournaments start up.

Reload Squads Cash Cups
These are much the same as the Duos, but for Squads. This can get particularly Chaotic for Reload too, where players survive much longer.

Ranked Cups Battle Royale

Ranked Cups are a type of event where players can compete to earn Ranked Points and cosmetics. These re divided up by Rank. Players in Bronze can play with other bronze and Silver players, Unreal with Unreal. It’s a nice way for everyone to take part in Fortnite tournament.

Fortnite Remix competitive includes these events. They’re particularly useful since the season is shorter and these can help you level up in the Fortnite ranks. Although, a lot of players farm these events to earn the free cosmetics for the season. So expect a decent bit of competition here!

Ranked Cups Zero Build
A Zero Build version of these cups. Same restrictions apply. Although, the impact of grinding taking so much longer in the Ranked Zero Build playlist might be felt a little more.

Fortnite remix esports are including quite a bit of Zero Builds even though it wasn’t part of the original season. The map isn’t too badly designed for Zero though, being quite a bit flatter than the first map.

Performance Evaluations
These are private tournaments that are going to be held over the season. You’ll see these on the calendar, but they’re actually invitation only. Essentially, you’ll know if you’re going to take part in these Fortnite tournaments.

Epic will invite directly. The top players in most Fortnite servers have been invited but general players likely won’t notice these.

Fortnite Remix Esports Rewards

There are quite a few rewards coming for the Fortnite Remix tournaments. There’s obviously all of the cash that’s up for grabs. However, we’re also going to see some cosmetic prizes getting included, like the Remix Ranker Glider for the Ranked Cups. This lets you show off where you reached in Ranked mode.

Since Fortnite Remix is quite a bit shorter, than grind up will be tougher this time. It’ll be worth hitting the higher end for the better glider though. The Ranked Cups will give these away. However, there’s quite a few opportunities to earn it.

Plus, you only need to get 50 points in these to unlock it. You won’t need to grind up the leaderboard or anything. Although, it’ll be tougher to camp it out with so many others going for placements.

You don’t have to win Fortnite games, but 50 points could be a challenge for newer players. So keep an eye on how the season develops over the next month for what will impact these tournaments.
