Lattimore was drafted by the Saints in the 1st round (11th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. His time in New Orleans has been filled with many highs and lows. In 2017, he was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and has been selected to the Pro-Bowl 4 times (2017, 2019-2021)
Unfortunately, over the past 2 seasons, Lattimore has also suffered several injuries. In 2022, he missed 10 games due to a lacerated kidney. In 2023, he was placed on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings. This season Lattimore has been on and off the injury reports, already missing 2 games due a hamstring issue he suffered in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers.
Lattimore has the subject of trade rumors for a while now and with today’s trade deadline of 3 p.m. looming, the star cornerback is officially leaving New Orleans and headed to Washington.
