Grammy Nominations 2025: Beyoncé Breaks Record As Doechii, Shaboozey Earn Best New Artist Nods
The 2025 Grammy nominations have been announced, and while there appear to be few surprises, there is still reason to celebrate for plenty of our favorite artists.
The most decorated Grammy winner ever, Beyoncé, has the chance to extend her lead during next year’s ceremony, as her Cowboy Carter album garnered the Houston artist 11 nominations, including for Album of the Year, which she’s yet to be awarded. This is also the most nominations for any album ever, topping a classic record that garnered 10 nominations, Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Bey is also now the most nominated artist in Grammy history, with 99 nominations throughout her career.
Doechii, who’s been having a hell of a year, will compete in multiple categories, as well, facing stiff competition in artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Teddy Swims, and Billboard mainstay, Shaboozey for the Best New Artist award.
Kendrick Lamar will also compete with his smash hit, “Not Like Us,” in several categories, including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Music Video.
