Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul on Netflix: What price is the fight on pay-per-view Friday night?

Netflix is maximizing the potential viewership for Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul. Friday’s boxing event could be viewed by hundreds of millions of people because Netflix is offering it to subscribers at no additional cost.

Unlike most boxing and mixed martial arts pay-per-views, Tyson vs. Paul will not broadcast on pay-per-view. The card will stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide.

The undercard also features some tremendous action for hardcore boxing fans. A rematch of arguably the best women’s fight in the modern era is set for the co-main event when Katie Taylor looks to defend her undisputed junior welterweight title against Amanda Serrano. The pair were the first women’s fight to main event at Madison Square Garden in 2022 when Taylor earned a split decision to retain the undisputed lightweight titles. After moving up in weight, Taylor claimed the undisputed crown once more.

Plus, one of the top young champions in the sport is back in action when WBC welterweight king Mario Barrios returns to take on veteran Abel Ramos. Barrios earned the title in a stunning thumping of former unified champion Yordenis Ugas in September 2023. He has since made one defense of the crown in a decision over Fabian Maidana in May.

Things got heated at the ceremonial weigh ins on Thursday when after stepping off the scale and preparing for the final faceoff, Tyson slapped Paul square across the face before the two were separated. An enraged Tyson stormed off the stage as Paul continued to troll the living legend.

A Netflix subscription is the only requirement to stream the event, meaning existing subscribers can watch Tyson vs. Paul without paying extra. New subscribers can pay as little as $6.99 for a month’s subscription, a fraction of what major combat sports PPVs generally cost. For example, it’s not unusual for a significant boxing PPV to cost between $49.99 and $74.99.

Friday’s event marks Netflix’s first foray into live professional boxing. The streaming giant will also begin airing WWE Raw in January as more sports organizations shift from traditional media to streaming services.
