Lexi Rodriguez Joins Legendary USA Volleyball Libero Days After Surpassing Her Record
Nebraska Huskers alum Lexi Rodriguez may not have won the NCAA national title. However, she established herself as the benchmark for all future liberos who join the squad. When the 5ā6 defensive specialist joined Big Red she had the monumental task of matching the legacy of Olympian and former NU volleyball star Justine Wong-Orantes.
However, not only did the libero match the Olympianās legacy, she surpassed it. After sourcing 15 digs in what would become the last volleyball game of her college career, Rodriguez smashed Wong-Orantesā school record of 1,890 digs. However, as fate would have it, shortly after breaking the record, the payer with 1,897 digs would join the Olympian.

Lexi Rodriguez surprised fans by going pro with League One Volleyball (LOVB). Many wondered where the talented libero went after she didnāt participate in the PVF draft last year. However, after joining LOVB Omaha, fans are delighted to see two of the greatest Nebraska Huskers Liberos on the same roster. It seems the duo is getting along swimmingly, as evident in their Instagram video.

Rodriguez, Justine Wong-Orantes, and their fellow LOVB Omaha Libero Annie Cesar appeared in a goofy skit alongside outside hitter Jaali Winters. āJust three chill bros,ā the LOBV wrote in the caption of their post. Meanwhile, the three liberos of LOVB Omaha could barely contain their laughter as the trio dubbed themselves āthe clickā in the video.
