Zendaya, Should We Be Reading Into That Diamond on Your Ring Finger at the Golden Globes?
There I was, enjoying the Golden Globes and scrolling through all the amazing looks, when who did I spot, but Zendaya.
Amazing gown, I thought, Cool bob, another Zendaya slay per usual.

I spy with my little eyeâŠa ringâŠon her left hand. And Iâm no expert, but that looks suspiciously like a diamond?
Okay, so I think there are two very real options here.
Option 1: Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged and this is her way of subtly (and very cooly) letting us know. Because also, not to go too tinfoil hat, but doesnât it look as if sheâs kind of showing it off? Like she wants us to see it????
Option 2: Itâs just a fancy Golden Globes ring, itâs part of her look, and we are being completely played (or are making things up).
In the hours since Zendaya first debuted a ring that may be THAT ring on the red carpet, we have received a bunch more clues that may be pointing to a TomDaya engagement. Most importantlyâsources are telling TMZ itâs legit.
According to the outlet, Holland popped the question to Z while they were at one of her family homes during the week between Christmas and New Yearâs. It wasnât a flashy proposal, they claim, but âvery romantic and intimate.â
And while the couple themselves are still mum, people online have been gathering a lot of other clues. First, sleuthers figured out the designer and style of the ring (wellâŠthey think). The common consensus is that Z was wearing the Jessica McCormick East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring. Its more than five carats and its price is âavailable upon requestâ which basically means no, we can likely not afford it (I reached out to the brand to see if theyâll give us any tea, but I havenât heard back yet).
According to one super detective, Zendaya liked a Instagram post featuring the ring in 2022, which MAY mean that sheâs had her eye on this beauty for years before Holland maybe proposed. Stars, theyâre just like us!
Hereâs some more âevidenceâ: Z has a contract with Bulgari for jewelry, but the ring is apparently not theirs, and the star was filmed in a seven-second video stretching out her arm in delight.
The poster of the video is claiming that just out of frame, Zendaya is showing the ring to Spiderman producer Amy Pascal (who famously told them not to start dating)âbut since we canât see either Pascal or her hand, itâs hard to say.
Then thereâs this: Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman said on her Instagram Stories that she asked Zendaya straight up if she was engaged, showing the star her own, new engagement ring. In response, Zendaya âsmiled coylyâ and âshrugged her shoulders mysteriously.â
This is a little off topic, but an eagle-eyed fan also spotted what appears to be a âtâ tattoo on Zendayaâs chest, which is just too precious if itâs for her beau.
I must remind you that weâve been fooled before. In 2023, Z posted an Instagram story in which she was also wearing a very suspicious ring. But then she soon let us know that we were tripping.
âI posted it for my hat! Like, not for the ring on my right finger you guys! Seriously, you think thatâs how I would drop the news? You think, like, what?!â she posted.
Okay, so that’s what we’ve got. The jury is still out. But knowing Zendaya has a penchant for casually throwing a ring on her ring finger without thinking about it, maybe this is all a bit overblown?
