Bayley already has a firm following within the WWE fanbaseOver the years the red brand show has provided countless historic moments; the iconic feud between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon, the rise of The Rock, the emergence of Logan Paul and tons more besides.
No single instalment of the flagship weekly offering has felt quite as significant as the one heading to Netflix on Monday night, however, as a $5bn broadcast deal well and truly kicks off.
Fans internationally have plenty more wrestling offerings to pick from going forward – SmackDown and NXT will be among the shows also airing on Netflix on this side of the pond – but Raw is the foundation of the package in the US.
For show one, legends aplenty are scheduled to appear including The Rock and John Cena, while four mega matches will provide the cut and thrust of the epic as the dramatic current day storylines continue to progress.

The official Netflix UK & Ireland account dropped an hilarious new video during Monday featuring WWE stars invading the ‘writer’s room’ as they task a group with writing the latest streaming hit, with ridiculous results.
Fully playing up to the pantomime character and chaos that’s always been professional wrestling’s ethos, Bayley and the Street Profits joined would be Netflix writers around the table – dressed in their full wrestling outfits.
The meeting kicks off with a suggested pitch for a new show, which Bayley promptly cuts off by suggesting it ends with a key character getting ‘power bombed off a mountain.’
She wails in delight and the Profits join in, too, with the rest of the room falling into an awkward silence before the meeting moves on, with each passing suggestion met with similarly farcical responses by the WWE stars.
Steel chairs, garbage cans and cages are all thrown in as further suggestions by Bayley and co, leading to an enraged ‘writer’ bringing their involvement to an end by booming: “Nobody’s getting power bombed… I’m really not sure what you guys are bringing the table,” – at which point Angelo Dawkins fires up an ad for Monday Night Raw.
