After more than 50 years of active academic career in England, Canada, Demark, and lastly in the USA, Adhip retired as Professor Emeritus from Wayne State University School of Medicine and Veterans Administration Medical Center in Detroit. After retirement, Adhip began to write about his familys struggles during the partition of Bengal.
