Ethan Ennis has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan from Manchester United for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

The young forward has enjoyed a prolific campaign thus far in our ranks, scoring 10 times in 15 appearances for the Under-21s.

That record includes six appearances against senior opposition, with Ennis proving a key player for Travis Binnion’s young Reds in the EFL Trophy and inaugural National League Cup.

As well as key goals from the right-wing against Barnsley and Doncaster, it was in the latter competition where Ennis netted an impressive hat-trick at Altrincham in mid-November.

This will be Ethan’s first spell away from the club. The 2022 FA Youth Cup-winner signed a new United contract back in summer, when he earned some senior game time in a pre-season friendly against Rosenborg.

Doncaster Rovers currently sit seventh in League Two and are pushing for promotion, but are focused on the FA Cup this weekend. Having defeated Kettering Town in the second round, Ennis’ new side travel to Championship side Hull City on Sunday in a midday kick-off.

Congratulations, Ethan, and good luck with Rovers!
