Kai Havertz’s wife has condemned vile threats to the couple’s unborn baby she received on social media after Arsenal’s loss to Manchester United.
Sophia Havertz posted screenshots of two Instagram direct messages to her story after Sunday’s FA Cup third round tie.

Havertz saw his spot-kick saved by Altay Bayindir during the shootout as the record winners of the competition crashed out.
Following the match, Sophia received a pair of threatening social media messages.
In one screenshot she shared, an Instagram user had said: “I hope you have a miscarriage.”

Another post revealed a different threat vowing to ‘slaughter’ their child.
Sharing the message to her story, Sophia said: “I’m not sure what to even say but please guys be more respectful. We are better than this…”
The couple, who tied the knot last year, announced in November that they were expecting their first child together.
Havertz marked the news by putting the ball under his shirt and sucking his thumb after scoring against Crystal Palace over the festive period.
The Germany international first started dating the model and influencer in 2018.

They confirmed their engagement in the summer of 2023 before their wedding 12 months later.
Arsenal’s FA Cup exit has come in the same week which sees their place in the Carabao Cup hang in the balance having suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle in the first leg of their semi-final tie.
The Gunners are bidding for a first Premier League title since 2004 but are six points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played a game less than them.
