PSV vs. Liverpool lineups, predicted starting 11, confirmed team news, injuries: Slot rests nine key stars
Liverpool’s imperious UEFA Champions League campaign reads seven matches and seven wins as they head to PSV to conclude the league phase.
Arne Slot’s men are guaranteed to be one of the top two seeds for the Round of 16 and only need a point in their coach’s homeland to guarantee finishing top of the inaugural league phase.
PSV are sitting 18th on 11 points, which puts them within touching distance of both the top eight and the elimination places, although the multitude of moving parts on the final matchweek means they are virtually assured of a playoff spot.

PSV vs. Liverpool lineups, predicted starting 11, team newsPSV boss Peter Bosz has something of a selection headache heading into this one. Ryan Flamingo’s red card against Red Star Belgrade had already ruffled a few feathers and central defender Adamo Nagalo (shoulder) is also injured.
To compound matters, left-back Matteo Dams has spent much of the past month on the bench and is reportedly on the verge of a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli. Armando Obispo is set to come into the backline.
USMNT striker Malik Tilman (ankle) is out alongside winger Couhaib Driouech (ankle), while Sergino Dest (ACL) is a long-term absentee. Veteran winger Ivan Perisic is ineligible for the Champions League until the knockout rounds.
PSV predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Benitez (GK) â Ledezma, Obispo, Boscagli, Mauro Junior â Schouten, Veerman â Bakayoko, Til, Lang â De Jong
Injured:Â Nagalo, Tilman, Driouech, Dest
Suspended:Â Flamingo

Liverpool’s dominant position in this competition gives Slot the option to rotate, especially with a Premier League trip to in-form Bournemouth on the horizon. Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, Luis Diaz and Dominik Szoboszlai have all been omitted from the travelling party.
Curtis Jones did not feature in the weekend win over Ipswich Town after sustaining a knock against Lille last week but is presumably ready for a return to action given Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai are all resting up on Merseyside.Â
Harvey Elliott came off the bench in that game to score a deflected winner and should enjoy a rare start alongside Federico Chiesa. Cody Gakpo is set to face his former club.
Diogo Jota (muscular) and Joe Gomez (hamstring) remain sidelined, with the rearranged Merseyside derby at Everton in a fortnight the most likely return date for both.
Liverpool predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left):Â Kelleher (GK) â Bradley, Endo, Quansah, Tsimikas â Elliot, Morton, Jones â Chiesa, Nunez, Gakpo
Injured:Â Jota, Gomez
Suspended:Â None
