Taylor Swift Just Ended the Fan Debate Over Her ‘T’ Thigh Chain at the 2025 Super Bowl
Taylor Swift isn’t leaving this one up to interpretation.
On February 9, the 35-year-old pop star recycled the sexy thigh chain she wore to the Grammy Awards as part of her Super Bowl ‘fit. Just last week, Swift debuted custom gold and ruby body jewelry featuring a dangling “T” charm that matched her sparkling red Vivienne Westwood corset dress.
“She has ideas that she really wants to bring to life, and then we help her bring it to life in our jewels,” jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz told Vanity Fair, revealing Swift wanted the small “T” charm to hang below the hem of her minidress. “It really was her collab with me.”

What Schwartz did not reveal, however, was the meaning behind the charm, allowing Swifties to fill in the blanks. Most were quick to make the connection between the “T” and the pop star’s “Guilty as Sin” lyric, “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh, only in my mind?”
While those fans were convinced Swift’s charm was a nod to Travis Kelce, others thought the answer was a bit more straight forward. “Am I the only one who assumed ‘T’ was for ‘Taylor,’” one fan posted on X.com, receiving 183,000 likes and over 5,800 retweets. Some even suspected the “T” could reference her album, The Tortured Poets Department, or joked that “T” was for High School Musical heartthrob Troy Bolton.
Call it what you want, but Swift seems to have ended the debate by wearing the same chain as a necklace to the 2025 Super Bowl, adding a touch of Chiefs red to her white game day ‘fit. That choice only makes it more likely that “T” really does stand for Travis, who is currently defending his Super Bowl championship title against the Philadelphia Eagles.
I guess he really did write mine on her upper thigh—and now she’s wearing his initial on a chain ‘round her neck, not because he owns her, but ’cause he really knows her.
