I have to keep saying it because even after a week it still feels unreal.
After the collapse last season, I was near certain that Sirianni had lost the locker room. We were 1-5 coming into this season, moving to 3-7 at the bye. Fangio was over rated. Kellen still had the Dallas stink on him. Hurts was more a phrase of the week machine than quarterback. Needless to say, vibes were bad man. Even as someone who prides himself as a true Negadelphian, expectations were low.
I was wrong*.
Saquon Barkley was the breath of fresh air the offense needed to flourish. Adding another weapons to AJ, Smitty, Goedert, and Jalen. The Exciting Whites stepped up, Quinyonamo Bay opened up, Zack Baun said “hold my beer” and became a top LB. Nick Sirianni, Kellen Moore, and Vic Fangio molded this team into something special and created an absolute juggernaut.
Defense wins championships, and we were far and beyond the best the NFL has seen in years, if not decades.
