Is Reacher Coming Back for Season 4?

The big guy is here to stay. After an exciting third season of Reacher on Amazon Prime Video, the streamer is already putting together its plans for season 4. Prime Video renewed the action series in October 2024—and I wouldn’t be surprised to see yet another order for more Reacher following season 3. (Seasons 5 and 6? Yes please.)

The latest story about the former U.S. Army military policeman tracks Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) as he goes undercover to stop the villainous Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall). The former Saturday Night Live cast member and star of The Dead Zone plays a dealer of Oriental rugs who uses his unassuming business to operate a drug-trafficking scheme. But that’s not all. Reacher also comes face-to-face with one of his most famous nemeses in author Lee Child’s series of Reacher novels: former U.S. military colonel Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee).

For more clues about where Jack Reacher may head for season 4, let’s turn to the author himself.

Jasper Savage//Amazon PrimeJack Reacher will return for season 4.

What Will Happen in Reacher 4?“Obviously, we can’t reveal anything yet, but it’s another good’un, I’ll tell you. It’s going to be great,” Child recently told The Mirror. “I’ll see you next year and we’ll talk about it.” Either Child means that he will return for interviews next year or Reacher season 4 is preparing for a 2026 release.

Fans speculate that season 4 may adapt the 19th book in the long-running Reacher series, Personal. The novel includes many flashbacks and stories of Reacher’s past that directly link up with the source material for season 3, Persuader. However, Child stated in an interview with The Independent that he would “love” to see The Midnight Line adapted in season 4.

“It was well-received, but The Midnight Line is one of my favorites because it was an opioid book, but it was written from the point of view of the addict with tremendous sympathy,” Child said. “I’m addicted to numerous things myself, and so I wanted to show it from the addicts’ point of view—make it sympathetic, make it human—and I’m proud of that book.
I wonder if it will ever get made. We have to see whether we ever choose that one, but I’d love to see how it comes out.”

Until Reacher reveals its top-secret info, keep this page on your rader as we update fans on everything coming their way for season 4.
