The anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasudaâs Blue Miburo manga is officially set to continue. Plans for Blue Miburo season 2 were confirmed today, with the adaptation of the Serizawa Assassination arc to kick off next winter.

The first season of the Blue Miburo anime was made at Maho Film, with Kumiko Habara of Iâm Standing on 1,000,000 Lives and And Iâm the Villainess, So Iâm Taming the Final Boss helming the project as director. The person in charge of series scripts is Kenta Ihara, whose credits include Uncle From Another World and Gamera -Rebirth-. Credit for character design goes to YĆ«ko Ćba of Iâm the Villainess, So Iâm Taming the Final Boss, as well as Miyako Nishida of My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1.

Blue Miburo Plot
Itâs 1863, the twilight of the shogunate, and Japan is on the cusp of monumental change. The streets of the nationâs capital are soaked in blood as political upheaval and rising tensions between masterless, wandering ronin and government samurai set the stage for one of the most turbulent times in Japanâs history. Young orphan Nio is no stranger to the harsh realities of the world, and yet he canât help but cling to his burning passion for justice and desire to change the world for the better.
One day, he crosses paths with two men who will become central figures of the coming revolution: Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji, two of the founding members of a group of hated ronin known as the Miburoâwho would later become known as the Shinsengumi. Inspired by the efforts of the so-called âBlues Wolves of Mibu,â Nio decides to join the ranks to help carve a path to the world he wishes to see.
