‘Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!’ Gets Second Season

The Make Heroine ga Oosugiru! (Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!) Tsuwabuki Koukou Bungei-bu Kagai Katsudou event announced a second season for the anime series on Sunday.

Produced by A-1 Pictures, the first season aired for 12 episodes in Summer 2024. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs.

The anime adapts Takibi Amamori’s romantic comedy light novel, which he originally submitted for the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Awards under the title Ore wa Hyottoshite, Saishuuwa de Make Heroine no Yokoni Iru Pottode no Mob Chara nano Darou ka, and won the Gagaga Award. Shogakukan began publishing the novel under its Gagaga Bunko imprint in July 2021, featuring illustrations by Muru Imigi (Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!). The seventh volume was released in July 2024, with the eighth volume planned for a May 19 release.

Itachi (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai) began serializing a manga adaptation on the MangaONE app in April 2022. Shogakukan shipped the fourth volume on January 10.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in English in February 2024. The third light novel volume was released physically on February 18, with the fourth volume scheduled to go on sale on May 27. The second manga volume was shipped on December 10, and the third volume is planned for a May 6 release.
