Who is the NFL player you compare yourself to the most? Why is that?
Iâd honestly say I compare myself to Daron Payne! Iâd say because of how stout and strong he is in the run game! He weighs more than I do, but Iâd say we have a lot of similarities in the run game. And I pride myself on stopping the run first! I believe I am good at transitioning from run to pass when the time comes!
What aspects of playing in the NFL do you find to be intriguing?
Defensive tackles play a crucial role in both run defense and pass rush. Their ability to disrupt offensive plays can significantly influence the outcome of a game. Mastering techniques such as leverage, hand placement, and footwork is vital. Continuous improvement and adaptation to different offensive styles keep the game engaging. Defensive tackles often have longer careers due to the nature of the position. The opportunity to evolve and refine skills throughout a career is an intriguing aspect that can lead to mentorship roles for younger players.
In what ways have you improved since last season?
I have improved a lot mentally and physically since just this past season, and I believe I am as fresh as Iâve ever been since entering college! My body feels great, and I did a deep dig to see where I can separate myself from other DTs, and that is just being in shape and being able to play every snap efficiently as the first one.
What is your favorite memory so far as a college football player?
Winning the Idaho Potato Bowl in 2022!
What is the most important thing you would like NFL scouts, coaches, and general managers to know about you?
I am a man of God! I want them to know that I am the best thing for their locker room and for the facility! I want them to know that I am worth spending the dollar on because I am going to go earn it! I am very coachable and straightforward!
