GPL: We want to keep our momentum at home – Ibrahim Tanko

Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his side is determined to maintain their unbeaten home run as they prepare to host the in-form Dreams FC at the TNA Stadium on Friday night.

The Mauve and Yellows have been formidable at home in the Ghana Premier League this year—playing six matches, winning five, and drawing one, with the only draw coming against league leaders Asante Kotoko.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Ibrahim Tanko emphasized the importance of maintaining that home form.

“We want to keep our momentum at home,” he said. “When you look at the away matches we lost, we were the better team. But definitely we didn’t score that one and we lost that one.”

Tanko is aware of the challenge Dreams FC pose, especially with the visitors winning each of their last five games.

“We’re playing against a team that hasn’t lost in six or seven games, and they are coming with a lot of confidence. But we are at home—and we want to keep our momentum.”

Tanko will aim to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak and will be hoping to silence the Believe Boys and reaffirm their stronghold at the TNA Stadium.

The match, scheduled for 18:00 GMT.
