NFL Mock Draft 2025: What I would do for all 32 first-round picks
This is a 2025 NFL Mock Draft of what I would do given my personal board and the evaluation of team needs and fits. While this activity is based on preference, my next and final mock draft will be based on what I think will happen.
Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, Quarterback, Miami: Itās true that this quarterback class is far from perfect, but the Titans need a big swing on the top passer this year. Cam Ward has all the tools to be a high-level franchise quarterback and could thrive under Brian Callahan
Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, Cornerback/Wide Receiver, Colorado: Travis Hunter is the top player in this class. The Browns roster needs talent. They need great players. Iād probably play Hunter on defense primarily and give him 10-15 snaps at receiver a game.
New York Giants: Abdul Carter, Edge Defender, Penn State: In lieu of a quarterback here, the Giants add a truly blue chip talent to their promising young defense.
New England Patriots: Armand Membou, Offensive Tackle, Missouri: There are plenty of places the Pats could address, but protecting Drake Maye with a high upside tackle feels like the right move.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, Defensive Tackle, Michigan: This is a safe, smart pick for the Jaguars. Graham will hold down the middle of that defense for the next decade.
Las Vegas Raiders: Tetairoa McMillan, Wide Receiver, Arizona: The Ashton Jeanty temptation is strong, but McMillan makes sense to immediately give Geno Smith a perimeter weapon to complement Brock Bowers.
New York Jets: Will Campbell, Offensive Tackle, Louisiana State: Continuing to build out their offensive line is key to either giving Justin Fields a great shot in Year One or building a foundation for the teamās future franchise passive.
Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, Edge Defender/Linebacker, Georgia: The Panthers have the āluxuryā of going BPA and drafting Jalon Walker feels like the right move. Their defense struggled last year and he is a multi tool that can impact offenses in a ton of different ways.
New Orleans Saints: Derrick Harmon, Defensive Tackle, Oregon: The Saints are in a weird spot here at 9, but land one of the most talented defenders in the draft. Maybe not a sexy pick, but Harmon will be a defensive mainstay for a while.
Chicago Bears: Ashton Jeanty, Running Back, Boise State: Maybe the fit of the draft. Ben Johnson loves a two headed monster in his backfield. Ashton Jeanty and DāAndre Swift would be an incredible duo to take pressure off of Caleb Williams.
San Francisco 49ers: Will Johnson, Cornerback, Michigan: Will Johnson makes a ton of sense to help San Fran reload their secondary. He can help lock up all the talented receivers in the NFC West.
Dallas Cowboys: Kelvin Banks Junior, Offensive Lineman, Texas: The Cowboys would be really, really smart to make this pick. Banks has tackle potential but at the very least could be an All-Pro guard early in his career. This would be reminiscent of the āboringā Zach Martin pick back in 2014 that ended up being genius.
Miami Dolphins: Jahdae Barron, Cornerback, Texas: The Dolphins are probably trading Jalen Ramsey, leaving their secondary really bare. Jahdae Barron is a highly athletic playmaker who can thrive as an outside or slot cornerback.
Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren, Tight End, Penn State: While their quarterback situation remains in flux, the Colts should pull the trigger on the best tight end prospect since⦠last year. Tyler Warren would instantly boost the passing game for whoever was behind center.
Atlanta Falcons: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge Defender, Boston College: The Falcons add some much needed juice to their defensive front with one of the best pure pass rushers in this class.
Arizona Cardinals: Walter Nolen, Defensive Tackle, Ole Miss: The Cardinals need help in the trenches. Walter Nolen is not a polished prospect, but his upside is really enticing for a defense in need of real help.
Cincinnati Bengals: Mike Green, Edge Defender, Marshall: Given the Trey Hendrickson discord, the Bengals could really use some reinforcements rushing the passer. As far as on-field talent goes, Mike Green would be a boost for the group.
Seattle Seahawks: Grey Zabel, Offensive Lineman, North Dakota State: Grey Zabel jumps into the NFL as a highly capable guard or center. The Seahawks get help on the offensive line.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell, Linebacker, Alabama: A pick that feels so, so right. Jihaad Campbell has the sort of speed and versatility Todd Bowles loves in a linebacker.
Denver Broncos: Omarion Hampton, Running Back, North Carolina: The Broncos have not been shy about their desire to grab a running back early in this draft. Omarion Hampton has all the talent to be a featured NFL back.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Josh Simmons, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State: Assuming the Aaron Rodgers Pity Power Hour ends soon and he signs with Pittsburgh, the Steelers should make sure they keep Rodgers upright in the one year heās with the team.
Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, Tight End, Michigan: It makes too much sense not to happen. Great player, great fit, Michigan.
Green Bay Packers: Shemar Stewart, Edge Defender, Texas A&M: The Packers have never been shy about betting on highly athletic defensive lineman. Shemar Stewart has extremely high upside and this could be the coaching staff to get the most out of him.
Minnesota Vikings: Malaki Starks, Safety, Georgia: Brian Floresā love of versatile, physical, smart defenders makes the Vikings a perfect spot for Malaki Starks
Houston Texans: Josh Conerly Junior, Offensive Tackle, Oregon: The Texans need to make real investments in protecting CJ Stroud. Tackle is a necessity here given Laremy Tunsilās exit.
Los Angeles Rams: Trey Amos, Cornerback, Ole Miss: The Rams did a great job adding a ton of young talent to their defense last spring. They keep the youth movement going with a long, physical cornerback.
Baltimore Ravens: James Pearce Junior, Edge Defender, Tennessee: James Pearce is so, so talented. Rumors have swirled this offseason about maturity concerns, so landing in the right locker room is crucial. Baltimore feels like a perfect team to get the most out of the gifted pass rusher.
Detroit Lions: Mykel Williams, Edge Defender, Georgia: The Dan Campbell Vibes on Mykel Williams are off the charts. Just an extremely hard working, physical player. Can he get better at rushing the passer? Yes. But heās also one of the youngest players in the class.
Washington Commanders: Matthew Golden, Wide Receiver, Texas: Even with the Debo Samuel addition, the Commanders should keep loading up on weapons for Jayden Daniels. Matthew Golden could stretch the field across from Terry McLaurin or slide into the slot and create mismatches in Kliff Kingsburyās offense.
Buffalo Bills: Luther Burden III, Wide Receiver, Missouri: Josh Allen is coming off an MVP campaign, but the Bills need to restock the cupboard a bit when it comes to his weapons. While Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir are really solid players, adding another target. Burden was misused at Missouri in his final year and would benefit from a passing game that was far more creative with him.
Kansas City: Tyler Booker, Offensive Guard, Alabama: Do you think Patrick Mahomes still has nightmares about what the Eagles defensive line did on February 9th, 2025? The Chiefs beef up their offensive interior to prevent something like that happening again.
Philadelphia Eagles (Super Bowl Champions): Emeka Egbuka, Wide Receiver, Ohio State- If the board falls this way, itās possible the Eagles might just trade back. If they donāt, I would run to the podium to make this pick. Could you imagine Emeka Egbuka running in the slot for this passing game while AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith stretch the field? Is it a āneed?ā Not pressing, no. But, it would take a very, very talented offense and put a turbocharger on it.
