Reactions to Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft
Reactions to Day 2 of the draft By: John White IV of NFL Draft Diamonds
Day 2 of the draft has come and gone. While the fall of Shedeur Sanders has been surprising to nearly everyone, there were some other headlines that were made during the second day of the NFL Draft.
FAVORITE PICK
TreVeyon Henderson-RB-Ohio State (#38 to Patriots)
The Patriots have focused so far on improving their team around Drake May. After adding Will Campbell in the 1st round, they add Henderson to potentially become their No. 1 RB. Henderson is a true 3-down back who is the best passing running back in the draft and offers upside in both the run and pass game.
LEAST FAVORITE PICK
Tyler Shough-QB-Louisville (#40 to Saints)
The Saints need to figure out their QB situation especially with Derek Carr potentially out for the year with a shoulder injury. Shough has the arm and measurables for the position. However, taking him at 40 seems too risky to me. With not a lot of quarterbacks drafted in this draft so far, it seems the Saints could’ve take an edge rusher or continue to upgrade around the team before addressing the QB need.
MOST SURPRISING PICK
Isaac TeSlaa-WR-Arkansas (#70 to Lions)
The Lions have made picks to help upgrade both the offensive and defensive lines. They could use some depth at wide receiver, and they got a developmental guy in Isaac TeSlaa. Transferring into the SEC from the G-MAC conference, TeSlaa offers great size and speed for the position. However, the production didn’t translate and his acceleration is a little sluggish. It will be interesting to see his development while playing for one of the NFL’s top offensive teams.
