For longtime fans, Zenitsu’s confrontation with Kaigaku stands out as particularly meaningful. The trailer only shows Zenitsu from behind as he approaches what appears to be Kaigaku’s domain, but even this brief glimpse carries tremendous weight. Those familiar with the manga know this is where Zenitsu must face his past and prove his growth as both a swordsman and a person.

Then there’s the continuation of one of the series’ most personal vendettas, Tanjiro and Giyu versus Akaza. The trailer shows the Upper Moon Three demon tearing through the castle’s corridors with terrifying speed. For Tanjiro, this isn’t just another battle but a chance to avenge his mentor Kyojuro Rengoku.

The trailer doesn’t forget the other pillars of the Demon Slayer Corps. We catch glimpses of Obanai showing his blade techniques to Mitsuri, Shinobu preparing for her most consequential fight, and Sanemi finding a moment of meditation amidst the chaos.

A shot of a Kasugai Crow delivering what could be last messages between separated comrades heightens this sense of finality.
