Lucky Player Wins $585K Jersey Cash 5 Jackpot

A man from Morris County has won a $585,900 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot, which makes him the 25th lucky player that the lottery has made rich this year.

According to the New Jersey Lottery, one lucky resident matched all five numbers during and won the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot in Sunday’s drawing. The winning ticket was purchased through the third-party retailer and app Jackpocket.com, which will receive a $2,000 bonus for facilitating the sale.

The winning combination for the May 18 drawing was 15, 26, 30, 34, and 42, while the XTRA number drawn was 03, and the Bullseye number was 26. In addition to the jackpot winner, there were 19 other players who matched four numbers and the Bullseye. They win $500 each, while one additional player matched four numbers along with the Bullseye and XTRA to win $1,000.

Currently, the identity of the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot winner remains a mystery to the public.

More About the New Jersey Lottery

Headquartered at One Lawrence Park Complex in Lawrence Township, Mercer County, the New Jersey Lottery is run directly by the state of New Jersey. The Lottery offers several in-house draw games, including Pick-3, Pick-4, Jersey Cash 5 (the same game that the recent jackpot winner played), Pick-6, Quick Draw, and Cash Pop. Its multi-state draw games include Cash4Life, Mega Millions, and Powerball. Additionally, the Lottery sells Fast Play and scratch-off tickets.

The New Jersey Network (NJN) broadcast live lottery drawings twice daily, seven days a week—once at 12:59 p.m. and again at 10:57 p.m. Eastern Time. NJN also aired the Mega Millions drawings every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 p.m., along with the Powerball drawings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at the same time.

However, the New Jersey Lottery is also somewhat of a pioneer in the digital realm, as it was the first lottery in the US to start streaming its drawings. Its first stream began on July 1, 2011, from the New Jersey Lottery headquarters on either the Lottery’s website or its Ustream channel. Later that same year, Lottery drawings returned to television on NJTV with a one-hour tape delay. However, live drawings continued to take place at the Lottery’s headquarters and are streamed online to this day.

In 2025, the largest jackpot won in New Jersey was a $32 million Pick-6 prize. The winning ticket was sold at Quick Mart in Jackson, Ocean County, on January 21. The cash value of this prize was approximately $14.4 million.

However, the $1.13 billion Mega Millions jackpot won in 2024 remains the largest lottery prize ever claimed in New Jersey.
