Poll: What Review Score Would You Give DOOM: The Dark Ages?

The third game in the so-called modern DOOM trilogy, DOOM: The Dark Ages has been out for just over a week now, and we want to know what you think of this brutal shield-driven shooter.

id Software’s latest was met with rock solid reviews prior to launch, with critics praising its typically punchy gunplay and satisfying flow. However, The Dark Ages seems to have been a little divisive amongst DOOM enthusiasts.

We’ve seen plenty of direct comparisons to its predecessor, DOOM Eternal, with some players declaring it a step backwards. As such, we’re very interested in seeing what kind of rating The Dark Ages gets from the community here on Push Square.

For what it’s worth, we really enjoyed this one. In our DOOM: The Dark Ages PS5 review, we concluded: “When The Dark Ages gets to the FPS action, there aren’t many who do it better than id Software. Take some time to adjust, and you’ll discover another fantastically ferocious first-person shooter.” A ‘great’ 8/10.
