The FIFA Club World Cup reaches a crucial stage on Monday as the final group games are played in Groups A and B.

Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami are in action against Palmeiras after getting their first win of the 32-team tournament against FC Porto in their last match.

PSG remain the tournament favourites despite their shock defeat by Brazilian side Botafogo in their second match, but the Champions League winners cannot afford to slip up again when they face MLS side Seattle Sounders.

Bet of the Day – Paris Saint-Germain -2 on handicap vs Seattle Sounders @ 11/10

PSG’s recent golden run hit the buffers in spectacular style when the Champions League winners slipped to a 1-0 defeat in their second Club World Cup game against Botafogo.

Having opened their campaign with a 4-0 thrashing of Spanish side Atletico Madrid, that was not in the script for Luis Enrique’s side, but Copa Libertadores winners Botafogo kept up the fast start of South American teams in this competition and PSG will have to settle for second in the group at best if Botafogo can avoid defeat in their final match against Atleti.

The French champions have a less taxing task this time, though, and can be expected to score a wide-margin victory against the Seattle Sounders.

The Sounders have won only seven of their first 18 MLS matches this season and, while they have kept the score respectable when losing 2-1 to Botafogo and 3-1 to Atletico, they have now lost their last four matches.

With PSG out to reestablish themselves as potential trophy winners, the Sounders could be in for a heavy defeat at Lumen Field.

Special of the Day – Atletico Madrid to win & both teams to score vs Botafogo @ 13/5

Atletico Madrid had the worst possible start to their Club World Cup campaign with a 4-0 thrashing by PSG, but they got back on track with a 3-1 win over the Seattle Sounders and they could now do the Parisians a favour by winning their final group game against Botafogo.

The Spanish side played better in their opening match than the final score suggested and while Botafogo have been solid defensively so far, they scored only twice against Seattle and this should be a close contest.

Botafogo were outshot 15-4 by PSG and while they have been clinical when it matters and should get on the scoresheet again, Atletico have the quality to come out on top.

Longshot of the Day – Al Ahly to beat Porto @ 17/5

Porto’s chances of reaching the last 16 were handed a major setback with their defeat by Inter Miami. If Lionel Messi’s side draw with Palmeiras in their final match, there will be nothing either Porto or Al Ahly can do to qualify.

The Portuguese side have to go all out for a victory after taking only one point from their first two games, and that could leave them vulnerable to an upset by Al Ahly.

The Egyptian side blew their chance to beat the MLS team in their opener when a penalty by Trezeguet was saved and, while they are yet to score in the tournament, they have shown enough potential on the counter-attack to suggest they should not be written off in their third match.
